"People were bringing little children to him in order that he might touch them; and the disciples spoke sternly to them. But when Jesus saw this, he was indignant and said to them, “Let the little children come to me; do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs. Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will never enter it.” And he took them up in his arms, laid his hands on them, and blessed them." Mark 10:13-16
Through our Christian Education ministry, Christ Church strives to provide opportunities for our children to learn about and encounter God in age and developmentally appropriate ways. We do this through Sunday school, worship, Kid's Club, Vacation Bible School, family activities and retreats, and summer camps offered by the Ohio Conference of the United Church of Christ.
Sunday School
Classes are offered for preschool through high school from 9-10 a.m. September through May. We break for June, July and August, and offer other summer programming.
Worship
Children are always welcome when the church family gathers for worship! We do have a cry room available if you're concerned that your child may be distracting others. A nursery is provided for children 1 year old through kindergarten. Children also participate in worship as readers, members of the Carol choir, acolytes, bell ringers, ushers, and greeters.
